SECURITY, TRUST AND SOPHISTICATED TECHNOLOGY

ID-HAVEN

Your Security Software

What is ID-Haven?

ID-Haven is Security Software that will prevent the theft or accidental leakage of your customer’s bank account details without requiring you to make any changes to your existing core business software and that is a promise!

Up and running in just days for rapid protection we have a unique approach to security that means this is not just another layer in the Defence in Depth onion.

An Enterprise class product designed specifically for companies that undertake large scale Direct Debit and Direct Credit processing such as Insurance, Life and Pensions, Telecoms and Utilities but applicable to any company that needs to be able to process banking transactions (SEPA, BACS etc) and want to sleep well at night.

When people consider data security the main threat that comes to mind is the blackhat hacker.  Actual breach data supports this as being the main threat but insider actions, people inside the Defense in Depth onion rings, are responsible for over a quarter of data breaches (source:http://breachlevelindex.com/).

id-Haven will act to prevent data loss from outsiders and insiders, irrespective of their security clearance.

CYBER ATTACK - NEWSNIGHT

Talk Talk CEO Dido Harding on the Cyber Attack

When people consider data security the main threat that comes to mind is the blackhat hacker.  Actual breach data supports this as being the main threat but insider actions, people inside the Defense in Depth onion rings, are responsible for over a quarter of data breaches (source:http://breachlevelindex.com/).

ID-Haven will act to prevent data loss from outsiders and insiders, irrespective of their security clearance.

ID-Haven data security was inspired by watching the TalkTalk CEO being interviewed on  the BBC news after their major data breach.  It posed the question “why does this still happen” and the answer we came up with is deceptively simple, “because even well considered and implemented security must always be a trade off between risk and business process”.  id-Haven enables exceptional security for your customer’s bank account details without negative impact on business processes.

Traditional Approach to Security

The classic approach to security is “Defense in Depth”.  This is a proven approach in which layers of security are wrapped around the valuable assets of a business presenting challenge after challenge to an adversary.

This approach however has two key weaknesses.  Firstly, staff typically bypass many of the layers just by being in the systems and nothing in these layers can 100% stop a determined staff member with authorisation to use the data from extracting it.  Secondly, the layers are often focused on the external threat actor and present an economic deterrent based on the principle that if accessing the asset requires more cost and effort than the value of the asset then it is secure enough.  This does not take account of blackhats hacking for reputation, or just because they can and it does not take account of accidental data breach by insiders or data theft by insiders for whom the cost is much lower.

ID-Haven totally removes the risk of exposure of bank details by any mechanism from your organisation.

ID-Haven's Approach to Security

There are many software solutions that tokenise data, we are different.  ID-Haven requires no changes to be made to your critical business software (billing, payment systems etc). id-Haven removes your customers bank account details from your business systems so they no longer exist in those systems and so cannot be exposed, accidentally or deliberately.  id-Haven obviously does all of this while retaining the ability for your business to process Direct Debit and Direct Credit transactions.

  • No software changes to integrate complex product solutions = rapid and low risk deployment.
  • No account details in your systems = security against exposure.
  • ID-Haven = security without disruption to financial processing
